The potatoes have come up (I'm trying the method of having them grow above ground in the wire "cage" thing on these red potatoes, so I need to go get me some straw - they say to pack it on before the potato plants are 6" tall):
And the garlic has come up too (well, 2 of them anyway):
Interesting potato technique. Let me know how it goes. I am just planting them in the ground and trying to mound up soil around them, but I'm not sure how to keep the mounds in place...
